Old player being added automatically

I've just come back to BGA after a lengthy break and now whenever I create a table, it's automatically adding someone I used to play with to every table. I've removed that player from my friends list but still, every game, there they are. How do I stop it? Thanks.

I'm gonna guess you're in Friends mode?
On the lobby page (https://boardgamearena.com/lobby), along the top, there are three drop-downs. They probably say (since I see your language is English):
SIMPLE GAME
REAL-TIME
FRIENDS

Click on "Friends" and change it to "Manual", then you will see all the available tables for any game you choose. Or switch to "Automatic" to let BGA find you a table.

When you want to play with specific friends, switch back to Friends mode, and BGA will let you select the friends you'd like to play with. BGA remembers your choice of friends (turns out: even after you unfriend them), until you switch out of Friends mode.
