Misleading Asmodee licenses (such as Splendor)

Post by leocaseiro »

Hi, I was looking into licenses(https://studio.boardgamearena.com/licensing) to see what game I would start developing, and I realized that the Splendor(https://studio.boardgamearena.com/licen ... ame_id=105) is with status: "Unfortunately, this license is not available". Well, I'm pretty sure is misleading as I'm able to play Splendor myself. (https://www.asmodeena.com/en/news/2021/ ... or-on-BGA/)

My interpretation is that a few (or a lot) have changed since Asmodee acquiring/joined BGA (viewtopic.php?t=19639). So could someone please update the licenses for the games that now are licensed?

I was also hoping that after Asmodee + Plan B Games (https://www.asmodeena.com/en/news/2021/ ... n-b-games/), we could finally implement Azul(viewtopic.php?f=12&t=17676), Century Spice Road, and some more Plan B games, as well as some others by Asmodee?

Thank you in advance!

Some big licenses are kept secret since BGA hire freelancers to do them, so they are not open for the dev community. So probably your answer is "it's already updated". If Azul was granted, that would probably not appear here for instance ;)

You should understand "not available" as "not available for volunteer development on the studio".

It can mean a variety of things in reality. License may have been refused, project may already be under development by BGA or a freelance, or some other specific situation.

That being said, I have marked Splendor as "published" in this list as it was indeed not up to date.

Oh, I see! Thank you for that! Sorry for the misunderstanding.

That got me intrigued...

AZUL is listed in the Available licenses list as ALREADY PUBLISHED IN BGA.

Same goes for GREAT WESTERN TRAILS.

Just a couple of "most wanted" games in BGA that shows this info...

Any clue about when these games will launch?
