Disable smilies

I see that option here, when posting [ :) ], but I've noticed that some people seem to have this disabled in table messages. I can't seem to find where I can toggle that. Will someone please point me in the right direction, thanks.

I don't think that's possible. The forum and the caht are 2 entirely different coded features.

You can't disable those smileys. But they are only shown if they're surrounded by blanks/start or end of message.
So if you want the text to show up instead of the smiley, you can surround it directly by f.e. punctuation marks, some other white space, ...

Aaaah, okay, thanks. Because I def see some people are able to do this.
