How do you know if you are a guru?

Post by Octothorpe »

I was just given a message telling me, "Thank you for being a guru for X, now it is somebody else's time."

I didn't even know I was a guru to begin with!

lolz, I would love to be a "guru" for someone, even by mistake! I'll help anyone learn, even if it means they'll beat me :D

ps - I assume they don't mean "guru" in the theme of Altruist achievement ("Helped 1 beginner for their first game on BGA") as I don't see that in your list of site achievements - unless perhaps it lands in the game specific achievements?

On the community page.

OT:
@SteveV: OP is talking about game gurus that can decide about upcoming arena formats, and more to come.
But do you happen to know what one needs to do for the Altruist achievement, because I dont get it from that description…)

thanks for the heads up; I think Altruist is disabled right now, but I believe it is somehow related to being in a game with someone during their first ever game?
