I recently got kicked by another player for timing out by about 20 minutes in a tournament game, during the game's final action.
It is well within the other player's right to do so, but I was surprised to see that this player chose to eject me from the game over twenty minutes of lateness, when another player still in the game had racked up nearly four hours. I then saw that the game's final situation had me winning by a few points and the player who had timed out for a lengthier period in fourth place by a decent margin.
Clearly this other player utilized the timing to take a win, ignoring the other player's clock.
While I find the time limits in gameplay to be necessary, even when utilized as a function to win an otherwise lost game, it seems extremely pedantic that this player was able to eject a less egregious breach of the clock based on game position.
My suggestion is that any kick for time be applied to the latest player first, or all out of time players equally.
Not a huge deal, it just seems silly that this player was able to influence a tournament by ignoring the bigger time deficit when choosing who to kick.
Thanks for the awesome platform, and for taking suggestions
