fill in my seed

I would like to play Agricola with occupation and investment cards. I read on this forum that I have to play the competitive variant to play with the cards. When i try to play do so I get the message that I have to fill in my seed first. I don't have any idea what that is and what i have to do to be able to start playing. Can anyone clear this up for me?

Just select anything else for the "draft mode" table option.

how do you change the draft mode to anything else? I have gone to settings but are not able to change the draft mode.

You need to set the competitive level to normal or competitive, in beginner mode you don't have cards and consequently no draft modes are available. ;)
