Defaults for universal options like turn length?

I tried to search the FAQ and this forum to see if there was any functionality I was missing or any previous discussion, and didn't see anything directly relevant. It would be nice if I could set default preferences for universal options like turn length and opponent karma in my profile rather than having to reimplement the same settings for every new game.
