Gaia Project is now in beta!

Post by Mogri »

Image

Expand, research, upgrade, and settle the galaxy with one of 14 factions.

Gaia Project is the follow-up to the critically acclaimed Terra Mystica! 14 different factions live on 7 different kinds of planets, and each faction can only thrive on their specific type of planet. To develop and grow, a faction must terraform neighboring planets into their home environments while competing with the other factions. Special Gaia planets can be used by all factions and rare Transdimensional planets can be changed into Gaia planets!

All factions can improve their skills in 6 unique areas of development which leads to advanced technology and special bonuses! To help out, each faction has its own unique special skills and abilities.

Thanks.
As far as I know, the french game name is wrong.
It currently is "Projet Gaïa", while it should be "Projet Gaia". Common mistake but still a mistake.

Shall that kind of thing be reported as a bug ?

Got the notification today that you added the planet type count to the board. Thanks for the QoL improvement, it's greatly appreciated!

Also, thanks in general to everyone for making this game available... it is one of my current favourites, and I'm enjoying being able to play it with people!

The planet count is a really appreciated quality of life improvement!

Some other much needed suggestions (both included in TM):

Being able to see the full board of the faction you're choosing before the confirm. There's so many nuances like starting resources or slightly different income that matter when choosing but I just can't remember for every single faction.

Conversations shouldn't have a confirm button until the turn is over. No new information is gained from doing a conversation, you should be able to undo until your turn is completed.

You can view the full faction board by clicking again on the faction. This should be more obvious; we'll add an indicator in a future patch.

I guess it's not in the official rules, but would you be able to add an auction mechanism that works exactly the same as Terra Mystica? The problem with draft is that the same factions get chosen all the time, there's always white and red in every single game.

Also, amazing implementation, thank you so much!!

That's the most requested feature at the moment. We're coordinating with the designers on the auction. The bad news is that means auction may not be coming soon; the good news is, conditional on their approval, it will be implemented as the designers direct rather than as a house rule.
