The free game Bahama Taxi is in alpha now. Some things are getting worked on like a more conspicuous passenger limit reminder for when the draw deck runs out and when we are down to 4 passengers.
The game is a pick up and delivery game that uses a board, pawns, and a deck of cards.
Players pick up and Cary up to 3 passengers (a pair of cards arranged around the board with the top card being the origin and bottom card being the destination) in their cab and deliver them to their destination scoring points based on the fewest moves between the two points. These values are constants.
Players however are not required to get their passengers to their destinations as fast as possible because in the Bahamas nobody seems to be in a hurry. And the passengers don’t mind sharing the cab with other passengers. (I doubt any of this is true)
The government imposes a 2 passenger limit once the draw deck runs out, then a 1 passenger limit when only 4 passengers are available for pickup. Finally all cab rides are free once the last passenger gets picked up and nobody scores points for the undelivered passengers in their cab. This is also when the game ends.
Other points:
-cabs can’t jump over each other, this means blocking is possible
-in the rare instance that it can be accomplished, in a 4 player game it is possible to block one cab with 3 others at certain spots on the map thereby skipping that player’s turn because a legal move can’t be made.
-5’s of same color combination (5s-5c & 5d-5h) score the most points, 8.
-there is no bridge between aces of the same color therefore ac-as and ah-ad both are 2 move minimums.
