Newbie question for 7 wonders

Post by hop234 »

Hello all!

I've played a game where I got 4 + 3 greens. 4 'compases' and 3 'cog wheels'.
As I understood the rule, you get 16+9 for their stack and another 7+7 for having 2 groups of 3. is that correct?
But at the end, the game rewarded me with only 25 points (16+9) and didn't reward me the 7+7. Why would that be?

There are 3 different science symbols. You only had 2 (the one you were missing looks like a parchment or perhaps a stone tablet) - so you don't get any points for sets of all 3.

PS this would have been better asked in the 7 Wonders forum. Game specific forums are at the bottom of the page.

Oh I was not aware of game specific forums, sorry for that
Thanks for the explanation! I thought you get 7 bonus points for every 3 symbols of the SAME type.

No, it's for a set of each of the 3 DIFFERENT symbols. You already get rewarded for sets of the same type, this aspect of the scoring balances that by also encouraging getting at least a small number of each.
