BGA on iPad Mini - Any experiences?

Hi, I am thinking about getting an iPad mini as a completely off-work tablet, but I am wondering if it is too small for BGA, so that I would always take a bigger tablet or laptop at home.

Do you have any experience with using an 8inch tablet for BGA?
