Game statistics

Would be really nice to know first move advantage for various twp player games. Designers would be interested to know how robust their game turned out to be. I.e., first move advantage at different board sizes. First move advantage is typically smaller at larger board sizes so it would really help to have the stats for each board size. Also first move advantage tends to be greater at higher skill levels, so if possible, it should be broken down for that as well.

Are you talking about a certain game here?
There are games for which it is measured already: on the stats page there's a field for starting player (1 if starting player, 0 if not). By looking at the average of all winners, you get exactly what you asked for.

So maybe, if your aim is at a certain game, it could be easier if you just said so. That can also easily be done via a suggestion in the bug section of that game. For example just over the stats

No, I'm not talking about a certain game. I'm talking about something like Control Panel/Audience Share but with this information included. I'm interested in this for my own games but also for Hex, Bobail, Backgammon, Mattock, Insert, and many other two player abstracts.

This information is of great interest to abstract game designers like me, and is freely provided on some abstract game sites. If it's not particularly relevant here, that's fine. Just a suggestion (hence the post in the "Suggestions" forum).

Sorry, can't follow you anymore. You say you're not talking about a certain game and then say you were talking about certain games.


All those you mentioned should be easily attainable if the statistics page listed that. And I told you: suggestions go into the bug report section of the games for which the suggestion is for (yeah, the forum name is misleading, Bga has it to get people to blonde their ideas off of each other and advertise their suggestions). If the games you want it for are your own games: great, just add the statistics, yourself

The statistics page won't help if a game has variable player count.
