Is anyone working on Citadels?

Post by bjs250 »

Hey crew,

My apologies if I've broken forum etiquette in some way.

Is anyone working on an adaptation of Citadels? If so, I would love to help! I'm a backend web developer by trade, and I've reviewed a bit of the BGA framework in the studio site. If not, I'd like some info on how I can get started (assuming there's no licensing issue, of course)

Citadels is already in Alpha (and has been for a while - excellent adaptation imo), so yes it is being worked on.

But there are loads of games that BGA has the licence for that no developer is working on, so you're more than welcome to join the Studio and see what takes your fancy!

Good to know!

1) How did you determine that? Is there a list of games that are currently in development?

2) Is there a list of BGA licensed games with no current developers?

For 1), I know it's in Alpha because I've played it! The list is here but you won't have access unless you meet the criteria to be a BGA reviewer.

As for lists of projects currently in development or of licences available but not completed yet, you'll get access to those once you've signed up to BGA studio, which there are instructions for on the website - see the "I'm a software developer" link in the footer. I won't share a link here, because unless you're already signed up to BGA studio you won't be able to access it, and I doubt BGA would encourage people to sign up who don't intend to actually contribute my working on game adaptations.

(It's also not a complete list anyway, lots of games are implemented by the core BGA team or specifically-chosen developers that do not appear on that list. Recent releases that that applies to include Agricola and Patchwork.)
