Wrong research final scoring

I noticed that in BGA implementation the score of researching level is not correct. It should be 4 points per tech above level 3 but seems like is the double (8 points).

Is it wrong or is something that I don't know?

The calculation was right in all the games I have played so far. Do you have any example to support your claim ?

It is 4 points per tech LEVEL above level 3.
tech level 3 = 4 points ; tech level 5 = 12 points.
