Absent and being punished

I was absent for a week because I was in the hospital with Covid. Without my phone or computer for a number of days my reputation plummeted. I understand the reason for having a punishment for not playing games in a timely manner. However, I am being doubly punished by not being able to comment to players in my games who want to know how I am doing and who are welcoming me back. Throughout the last 2 years if a player was absent for a time I just felt that they might be sick and I would not quit the game, and sure enough they would often continue after a few days. Please reconsider how you are punishing players. Please also look at my record for the 1000's of games that I have played. Thank you.

Unfortunately that's life, but no exceptions will be made.

It is very easy and can be done quickly to get your karma back to 100, play a couple of realtime tables of short and quick games. Every finished game, without timing out, gives you back 1%.
