Is There Any Way To Block "Suggests You Join..." Messages?

I've been getting spammed with messages of other players inviting me to join a game with "suggests you join...". Is there any way to block all such messages?

It's a stupid feature, letting people spam you like that. If I wanted to play a game, I'll join the queue on the "Play Now" page. I don't need to get spammed when I'm playing something else (turn-based tournament games).

What's really stupid is that you get them popping up in the side-bar while playing real-time games. Since you can't join a real-time game while you're playing one, that's a UI element which cannot accomplish anything except to distract you.

I first noticed these messages about a week ago and am wondering how they are created in the first place. Does anyone know?

When you create a table, there's an "invite players to join" button. It then spams everyone who's online and played the game before with an invitation to join.

I was red thumbing people who were spamming invite messages, but then I realized that's unfair if it's a site feature.

You can have no games in your favorites list, and then you won't appear on the list to get the suggestions.

Maybe actually try toggling the Online option on your drop down profile.
As I'm pretty sure the list you choose from is "online people with this as their favourites".

I haven't created a game for random people to join for a while, so I may be forgetting what the list actually said

It is only available for real time games. So go to start a realtime game and open it to all. Then scroll down and it will show user names and ELO of every player currently online that has played the game before and has it as a favorite (I think they have to have it as a favorite at least). You can click a suggest button there. That is how it works.
