"Red thumbs"

So apperantly 10% of ppl give me red thumbs???
Because they are sore losers? This site is pathetic. First I get banned for "offensive chats" which was stupid enough because I just told someone "nobody likes you". But whatever , I dont care about that. I guess I deserved it. My karma goes down to 0 and I bite the bullet.
Now I come back and play again and I dont say anything in chat expect for "gg". Mods can see my chat history. Once or twice I said "You cant get more lucky" and that is offensive??? Or maybe its the "get gapped" I used once. ONCE! Is that offensive too?
Since I came back I must have played 50ish games and after my last one I get a notification that 10% of players hate me. Because I beat your *** in a video game? There is literally no reason to give me red thumb, but they do. I did not say anything offensive or aggressive. This whole system is a joke. I expect a mod or whatever to review this case, because I am treated unfairly.

Its funny how in the very same chat after I say "*" the other guy said "Salty much" and that is not offensive? Well then now I know what to spam in all the games where I whoop someones "bottom".

Did you think you get away with it because you didn't type the "uck"? IMO, correct moderation, really. As in the case stated above.

Of course you shouldn't be moderated for saying "You cant get more lucky" - but that's just something you got RTs for, wasn't it?

Maybe try to not see your opponent as "enemy"? "gg" is a friendly person thanking you for the game.

"Salty much" is not "offensive", no. Maybe not friendly but an understandable response to "*"/"nobody likes you"/"You cant get more lucky"/"get *" (whatever this last one means...)

Ok so if I write in chat "f", will I get moderated? Is "f" an acronym for the f-word? How do you even know what I mean when I say "*"? Oh I see how. You google it and get into the urban dictonary from 2004 where some said it meant that. Damn that is one h-word of a way to moderate.

I see the person I am playing as friendly if they actally show the skill to beat me and didnt just luck out of it. Like you can clearly see how they get lucky and then type "gg". Cuz it drives their ego. And yet I dont understand why I cant mute someone? I am forced to see their messages.

The chat is for saying something TO others. not for talking to yourself. so you need to be prepared that what others read into it might be offensive.

If with "*" you wanted to say "found one fine friend" - then you should really explain that, otherwise it's totally understandable they read it as what seems most likely.

Surely you can't assure to never be understood wrongly when all you have is good intentions. But that's a rare case and it won't happen often unless you intentionally use acronyms that tend to have an obvious offensive other meaning to it. If it happens once and you're surprised because you totally didn't see that other offensive meaning - you'll get over the moderation and have learned something new. You can appeal too. Although in your case it seems like you undermined your own credibility with the previous cases.

Fine "*" may be obvious and I dont care about credibility, its a 24h ban. But it bugs me the wrong way that people are out to get you. This dude could have just moved on, but no. He got bottomhurt that someone said bad word and can make someones life miserable. Do you really think that he saw "*" and was like "Oh man i had such a great time and now i am triggered and offended"? No. Its useless policing that brings nothing good.

Further you didnt respond to my question about "f". Obviosly if used like "u are f bad" you can read into it. But just "f" in the chat? I usually dont care about the moderation when it is meaningfull, but its getting borderline insane.

This whole post started because somehow i got redthumbed into oblivion (10%) while I wasnt even doing anything that bad. And I got angry because all I wanted was to get the 80 so I can write translations. And after a gruesome grind where games only give 1 Karma I am hit with the red thumb problem some people have with me and reduce my Karma back to 60. So I make complaint here and I am pretty sure that some mod saw this and went into my chats to find anything remotely bannable. Just so I can get back to the 0 Karma. Well jokes on them, because I can make another account. And the red thumbs will be gone and all.

All of this because I cant controll my chat. I wish it doesnt exist. In fact I would rather play against bots than actuall people.

IMO just "f" is a bit thin indeed. Me as a player, I would definitely not report it. "*" would be a different story though.
Not sure about what I think a moderator should/would do if such a case was reported. Probably depends on whether and what else was said in the chat.

Are you sure it wasn't just your opponent who reported it and that's why a moderator looked at it? I really cannot imagine them playing detective through all your chats just to find something on you. But well - who knows ^^

But you CAN control, what YOU write in the chat .

But yeah, I guess the option to switch it off would be a good thing in general. I wouldn't want that for myself because really - I want to see when my opponnent writes "sorry, got a problem here, back in a minute" because then I know it's a good time to go to the bathroom or something... But for the trigger-happy folks out there, this might be a good thing.

Honestly your entire forum post here comes across to me as VERY aggressive, including swear words as well as calling the system “a joke”.

If you post things like that in games it’s not surprising people have red thumbed you.

Why bother even posting things like “could you have been more lucky” at all? It’s just venting anger. It just makes your opponent feel bad for luck that isn’t his fault. It IS aggressive and I’m not surprised people would prefer to play opponents who accept good and bad luck graciously.
