recovering karma

Post by CharlieReddog »

My karma just took an absolute dive because I quit a couple of games. OK, I know, my bad, don't be that guy. But I also got slammed with a karma drop from red thumbs, so a double whammy and i'm down to 30%. I start playing lucky numbers because it's quick, and it'll boost my karma back up. I do ok, don't type a single word during the games, play about 25 games during the latest session this morning and my karma is back up to 65%. Just log in to a message "Oh no, you've been red thumbed", and lo and behold my karma is down again.

I get the reason that karma is a thing. I accept quitting games is an issue which gets me penalised. But that you can be red thumbed with zero reason or cause is just bull. Presumably some poor soul was offended because I beat them. It should be impossible to add to someone's red thumb tally if they a) didn't type any chat, or b) play slow or c) otherwise do anything wrong.

It seems like it's nigh on impossible to actually get any green thumbs to counteract any negatives so they just keep piling up.

Red Thumbs, Green Thumbs and Moderation Reports should be transparent.

I just fought back to 87% karma, and suddenly I'm back down to 30% again? To clarify, that's from someone red thumbing me, despite me not being out of time, slow playing, or typing in the chat. Entirely down to someone being * they lost a game.

It's just utter *
