Banned? Why and how???

Post by SayuriSwan »

Hi BGA community! 😃

I really need some help and advice here, please! 🙏🏻

When I tried to log on BGA via my computer just now, I had a screen saying I’ve been banned and that I should check my email and Spam folder since they should have sent me some notice.

Multiple problems for me there:

- I’ve only been online to play my turns in tournaments and had 2 chats with people in my friendlist in at least 1 week (my computer is in shop for repairs so I’m on a borrowed computer from the shop that they let you borrow if your reparations takes a long time; mine 3 weeks).

- And I haven’t received ANY communication from BGA (either in email or spam)

How could I be banned and what can I do? I really don’t want to be unable to be on BGA, it’s the only way I can play board games! 😢

Any help is very welcome! 😊🙏🏻

Are you aware that most of the paths one can take on that support link result in a dead end, where you can NOT enter and send anything to BGA support team even though your issue might not be covered by the answer provided on the path you followed?

Maybe you could enter an input field for all those dead ends to prevent people from coming to the forum after not being able to use that support link to contact you.
Check out the Allround-League: https://boardgamearena.com/group?id=7870115 --> a league where you have matches of random games vs. other players in your group. Season 9 registration oct. '25.

I've talked to one of the mods about that. Especially as it is always given as the ultimate way for everything. The answer was that I should write an email to the address indicated by the moderation email.

I guess, even though the problem is not related to moderations at all, this is the only way that the right people would read about it, or something.

Your suggestions are great, though

Thanks for your answers and taking the time to read me! :)

I think I figured out what happened (even though I find it strange): I was using a VPN at the time I received that message when I tried to get online. When I came back after that (without using a VPN), I had no more message....
So I guess the VPN can influence that? Though I can't see how...
