Betta in Alpha

Post by Moof »

Betta is a new game, in alpha since a few days.

Thanks for you feedback :)

Here is the description :

Discover the wonderful world of the betta! They are beautiful and colourful, but their displays need to be properly organized so that they stand out.
In Betta, each player is assigned a species of betta. All they need to do is arrange the fish into different patterns, which earn them points depending on how complex the pattern is. In addition, once all the displays are filled, the players score extra points based on the number of bettas of their color in each of the displays.

It’s a good game and seems to be working well, I haven’t spotted any issues yet.

When the game begins, each player has 12 Betta cards and the game ends when either each player has 2 cards remaining or all of the display cards are completely full.

That makes sense to me.

The part that doesn't make sense is why the card count for each person starts at 3/6 and then the game ends when it is at 2/0?

Could the card count start at 12 and then decrease on each turn with a note saying 'Game ends when each player has 2 cards remaining or all display cards are full."?
