Creating a tournament info needed

Post by Savvy Sarah 83 »

Can you create a tournament with premium games if you are a premium player?
Do you need to participate in the games in order to run the tournament?
Can you run a multiple game tournament where there are different games and different tables for each of those games or does each game need its own setup? We are wanting to do a worker placement tournament where they do seven games over 4 days.
Can we limit the participants to only people that are part of our BGA group?

If you are a premium member, you can create any tournament, of those types supported by the site.

If it is a 2 player game, you can set it to "round robin", and all matches will be played simultaneously. You can also space them a few days apart.

If it is a multiplayer game, your best option is a swiss tournament. The tournament engine will wait until everyone finishes one round before scheduling the next round.

You can choose the allotted time. For example, if you choose 7 days in a four player game, each player gets 7/4 days (1.75 days) of thinking time.

You can restrict a tournament to a group. You can set up a tournament without joining.

If you want a tournament type other than those supported by the site, you would need to set up each individual game yourself in free play mode.
