Whoever set up the timing for this tournament made a huge flaw in the allowance for time.

Currently, 4 of the 16 matches have already ended because a player timed out and everyone skipped them for the victory points.

And with only a few hours remaining in this game, 7 more games are going to end and be determined simply by time allotment.

I'm in a game with people from Korea, Poland, and the USA. The Americans take their turns while I sleep in Poland, so all my time is gone from that. I and the Korean take our turns while the Americans sleep, so all their time is completely gone.

At this point I'm encouraged to skip players that take too long, rather than actually compete. So fun!

Space Base doesn't really work for turn-based tournaments. Depending on your cards, you have to make a decision every time someone rolls the dice. If everyone lives in a different timezone, that means you get ONE player throwing the dice each day.

A typical game will take around 20 turns PER PLAYER, which means there is almost zero chance of finishing on time, even with a 30 day time limit.
