Connection Issues

I am having terrible connection issues lately. I can't tell if it is my internet or BGA website. Anyone else start having issues in last few days?

Me and my group of friends have stopped playing since last week because of this. The jpg/png of almost all games fail to load.

We have different internet providers and we have tried every single combination of web browser and dns settting, thus no avail.

No one else is complaining though.

My group of friends (all in different countries) had constant issues last Friday (big lags/having to reload pages to get them to show properly or react to clicks, error messages that someone else had tried to play at the same time we took an action, when this was not the case). Since then, the site has been fine again for me though.

Otherwise it will likely be something else non-BGA related.

The problem is not the server that handles the procesing stuff ( which is the one that shows up in the server status page )
The problem is the server that handles and delivers the images for the games. The server gets stuck serving the images and the game interface just freezes.

Per example this is a screenshot from a Terra Mystica game that we stopped playing because the game just wont load



And i know for a fact that is not my internet connection... i get a constant 50Mbps stream from speedtest.net at the same time i am trying to load the game.

Any ideas ?

We use a CDN provider to deliver static content from a server near you for faster load times. This CDN service can have some difficulties from time to time in some part of the world, like any other technical service. I checked the service status at the moment, and it's all green, so most likely if there was a temporary breakup it's now resolved.

If you are still experiencing this issue, it may be an issue with your internet provider blocking a specific source, or any other local internet issue preventing access to static content from the CDN.

This just happened to me in the last hour or so. My internet is fine, cache empty, I just keep losing connection to the bga server just enough to get kicked out of the games. I've never had such a bad karma in all the years I've been here! It's pretty annoying! Have to stop playing for now.

I am based in Korea and experiencing major connectivity issues. Anyone else???

Every loading screen lags. Different browsers and computers. It often takes minutes for anything to load up. BGA is the only site I have this issue with. The strangest incidence is mid game it will show I am waiting for another player. I have plenty of time. The other player runs out of time. I get the option to skip/expel. The first 2 times I used chat but got no response. The 3rd time a player kindly responded it was actually my turn and I was out of time! Of course, I could not finish the game because after that message the site crashed all together and did not come online till more than 5 minutes after game finish. I wonder... did I expel myself the previous times this happened? haha.

Anyway, a short time ago I was considering paying for premium. But if this kind of thing is common, I think I'll hold off.
