Alpha games counting towards game total but not towards win total

As the title suggests, I have an issue with alpha games counting towards your overall game total, but not your win / loss statistics. For example, for Cephalopod, I played 3 games in alpha, which I won, but when I started my fourth game, in beta, my statistics tell me that I have 3 games played, 0 victories. That just feels wrong.
