unpopular opinion, i know. i would love to see them as an optional expansion

Knights is the best way to mitigate the 7s and the robber always being on your hex. The base game is good as it is.

well, if everyone knows that, they should play accordingly and block players that have a lot of dev cards. It is a luck based game of course, so the blocked player can still win, but if everyone constantly blocks the player with the best ows (ore wheat sheep) setup, trust me: that player will probably not win...

And if the others don't know, you can exploit it and have better chance of winning
