I don't get the rank scoring for Arena mode. First, why does it impact ELO at all. IMHO these should be separate.

Second, why can people come in late in the "season" and wreck the score of those who have one bad game. For example,I go up like 3 - 6 points at a time but drop like 28 - 32 per loss. That calculation seems massively skewed.

Sure. I admit I'm tantrum ranting a bit, but I am really curious about these two things.

Because ELO is an "all time" score, where every game (except training) counts.

Elo is supposed to measure your skill level, why shouldn't Arena games count towards that?? It's like saying that the skill of football clubs shouldn't be assessed by their official league games.

The short story is that there needs to be some system to not just favor the players with the most time to play. If the system wouldn't be "skewed" as you call it, you could just endlessly increase your score by playing more matches against weaker players. Whether the current system is a good system is on another page.
