2p game and ELO ranking

I'm just asking myself why the game, that is not official nor even well calibrated for 2 players, calculates ELO ranking even in 2 players.
I think that the 2 player bracket should be removed from elo ranking.

I'm not against ELO ranking, but against the 2 player bracket being included in it.
Puerto Rico is a 3-5 player game, the 2 players variant is not something you see in any tournament of the game, so should not be included in the ELO ranking, that's it.

Yes, but can not be excluded just because it is not as usual. If there is a variant, and somehow "fair", then it includes.

Why can't it be excluded? If it's a technical reason, no problem, but if it's not, then IMHO it should be, being a variant that changes Puerto Rico in a different game (alternate role selection, 2 ships instead of three, etc. etc.).
