Just One

Post by ddyer »

It worked pretty well on a phone. I kept having to resize and recenter to get
an appropriate view, but I suppose that's inevitable when using firefox as
the display driver.

Everyone got the same score. I'll take the victory but it doesn't seem right. Some
of my clues were duplicates and so were disqualified. That, at least, ought to
differentiate the score.

While I imagine they copied all the words from the game. But I had repeats in my first two games and more the next few. I'd like if they add a few hundred more. But its a really solid implementation beyond that.

You do realise it's a cooperative party game? You're trying to get the best score as a group.

Sure, but it doesn't mesh well with BGA's stats. I got a "first victory" achievement.
Even within a coop, there can be the notion that some players contributed more
to the achievement than others.

It's the same as other co-op games- BGA always calls it as a "victory", whatever that means

C'est normal que le jeux soit que en Anglais pour le moment?

Savez-vous quand il sera disponible en français?

yes, you need a much larger word list, and also more varied.
simple, common, nouns are too easy.

also, you should make it more prominent who the clue is for.

on replays, our players kept getting shanghied into a different game. I suppose that
is bga's problem not yours, but players being invited to a new game should't see invites
to other games.

How many words are in this implementation? We have way too many repeats after just a few games. Otherwise great implementation and thank you for your work!

Repeats I think are just going to be a problem. My normal gaming group has played this game probably 30-40 times and we are already at the point of having to use an online charades dictionary because we can remember what clues we used the last time a word came up. For random players, I suppose this isn't a problem, but if people want to regularly play this with the same group of friends, its going to need a deeper word bank to maintain longevity. I think even as a guesser, if you play often enough, you will eventually have the word bank memorized.
