When playing 2 player Libertalia, the person with the higher tie-breaker Monkey card has a huge advantage. Since the obvious play is to play the Monkey card on the last turn, whoever has the lower tie-breaker Monkey card ends up with all of the cursed Relics in the round, I believe no matter what. The brute would only knock himself out.
I think you could...
a) Resolve the Monkey card's simultaneously, so that the cursed Relics just get traded. That goes against the game's mechanics though.
b) Just remove the Monkey card from the 2p game. That's what I would do if I was playing in real life.
These suggestions aren't part of the official rules, so I don't know if they are good. Am I missing something though?
Here is an example game. Druide passed his 4 relics to me on his turn. I passed his 4 relics plus my original 1 relic back to him. On top of that I got first choice of the booty and he got stuck with a 6th relic!
