I know this has been discussed before, but the threads that I found were locked.
Let me start by saying I don't really care if anyone knows WHEN I am online. I work for myself and it's nobody's business when I want to play games online. However, I can see that some might want the ability to hide when they are online.
However, there is a separate issue with regard to showing your game history and experience points in certain games. I'll just cut to the chase--I don't want my friends knowing what games I do great at, how much I play, and what games I stink at. Maybe if I had 300 level numbers for all of my games I wouldn't care, but even then, I'm not sure folks would want to play those games with me live given the opportunity to play games where we are more evenly matched--I mean seriously, none of us like getting beat up constantly. I know the ranking is an issue because you have to figure out how to increase peoples rankings after wins or losses. I don't know if there is a solution.
Changing my user name and starting over is not a good solution, because I DO want my friends in certain situations to know where I am and find me--if we are scheduling a gaming event or something. So I do NOT want to go to the trouble of making up a different user name just to hide my game history.
Is this something that is just too difficult from a technological standpoint? I hesitate to say it, but I would perhaps pay extra for this feature.
I am already a premium member and it seems that is something that should be available to those of us who help fund the site.
Please join me in figuring out how we can get this feature added to an already excellent platform.
