The most annoying thing about this platform

Is waiting 5 minutes for a game just for someone not confirmimg to start or quitting. Seriously, don't queue up if you're gonna go AFK. This site has some of the harshest moderation I've ever encountered, yet nothing is stopping these people from behaving like that and wasting everyone's time. If you don't confirm participation within 30 seconds, you should receive a karma penalty, same if you quit from the confirmation screen. You can't even red-thump these people because you cannot click on them from the confirmation screen. At the very least it should be possible to kick people from the confirmation screen.

Closely followed by by receiving a karma penalty yourself through absolutely no fault of your own, just because the servers died again, kicking you out of the game. I have a very good internet connection, yet this happens to me at least once a week.

You can try to play in Arena mode, there is no Accept/Decline buttons.

That's very annoying, but even worse is when I join a room, the host starts the game, and then shows as not-ready and I have to cancel (at which point sometimes they've left).

I'm not sure if this is people who think it's funny to start a game and immediately leave it, or a bug in the BGA website, or what...

If the host is non-ready, most likely the table was autostarted, and not started manually by the host. This sometimes happens even before the table is full (probably a race condition between a player quickly joining and quitting and the table starting).

I've seen very often players immediately "qutting" after someone cancels acceptance. I'm pretty sure this is another race condition or site glitch. Maybe the players were already gone to begin with and the table didn't "know" it. I don't think it's possible to quit so fast.

Both of these are to do with players who are using "Automatic mode" rather than "Manual mode". They automatically join every table which matches their parameters, and if that fills two or more tables then you get the race condition: they can only actually play in one table (and that's why the confirmation screen exists), so they automatically "quit" the others. When acceptance is cancelled, all of the automatic players "quit", but they they often "rejoin" after a few seconds.

I haven't seen this very often, I guess that requires the automatic players to actively start another search, since once one of their tables "starts" (i.e. get to the confirmation screen), the search is cancelled.
