When are EAS win/lose points determined?

At the end of an Arena game, EAS points are awarded for wins and deducted for loses. Both players' EAS can vary significantly between the start and the end of a long running, Turn Based game due to the outcomes of other games. Are the number of EAS points at stake for a particular Turn Based, Arena game determined based on the relative EAS points of the players at the beginning of the game, or at the end?
