My thoughts / tips / advices on Bang

1. Don't play General store unless you have a brief idea on the roles of the players after you. e.g. at the start of the game, Sheriff should avoid to play General store since you may not know if your next player is an Outlaw or not. You will give him an advantage to select a card from the pile. Same apply when you know your next two players are from the different team, just don't play General store.
2. First Outlaw player reveal your role by Banging sheriff or the player ahead him (since I can assume in most of the case, the second player not attacking the Sheriff is because his role is a Vice or a Regenade). This help the other Outlaw to find his teammate and for Regenade to access the current situation.
3. As a Regenade, the role is to balance the game. In a 6P game, better kill an Outlaw first and then kill the Deputy.
4. In a Sheriff - Regenade - Deputy standing situation, Sheriff try to balance the situation and keep a defensible hand. Just don't die. Because some toxic player may rather kill you to let Outlaws win.

Okay, I appreciate those thoughts.
1. Great tip, use it. I always pay attention to the roles so that my General Store strengthens my team, not the opponents.
2 and 3. Great tip, based. Unfortunately, many players in the lower leagues in Arena mode don't use this yet.
3. I will clarify. The sheriff really needs to balance the situation, and often this will require playing an offencive game against a strengthened renegade candidate. I have not seen the described toxic players in the Arena mode, so you can safely shoot at a player with high HP to make sure.

Thanks for your reply
I haven’t played in arena mode yet. From what I see in casual mode, some sheriff rather spams all his hands to try to kill Outlaw in Outlaw-Sheriff-Renegade situation. When Sheriff fails to kill the Outlaw, and let Renegade kills the Outlaw instead, Renegade gains extra card and Sheriff now is in a weakened position.
Maybe casual player doesn’t pay attention on balancing offensive and defensive cards in hand.

1. I agree with playing general store strategically. It is best to play it when you are followed by your teammates and not opponents. Usually in 6p it's not the best for sheriff to start by playing general store without further information because you may give the outlaws far away from you guns/offensive tools to attack you.
2. The decision for outlaw to reveal themselves depends on their strength, number of players, and the seating positions. In 6p, outlaws should generally attack sheriff. In 5p, it's usually better to wait and kill the vice first because if sheriff is too close to dead, the renegade is forced to play for sheriff. However, even in 6p, there may be good reasons for the first outlaw after sheriff not to shoot the sheriff (no bangs, lack of defense which can be a problem if they are next to Willy sheriff/vice and in general since the first declared outlaw is usually the first one to be attacked, saving up cards to use), so I don't think outlaw should randomly shoot that person just because they didn't shoot the sheriff. People could easily assume someone who starts shooting off of no information is vice/renegade and thus attack you as their teammate.
3. Absolutely agree - the renegade needs to balance the game. Too often, renegades take an overly aggressive approach. In 6p game, 1-1.5 outlaws dead is roughly appropriate for switching onto the deputy but not always the case. Depends on how strong the sheriff/vice/outlaws are. Sometimes you can just sit and let the other players attack each other and only intervene when it's looking like one side has an advantage.
4. Yes, the 1v2 situation with the sheriff and vice/renegade is really about sheriff maintaining balance to keep both other players at as low strength as possible to be able to win the game when the other is killed off. In the 1v1v1 situation with sheriff, renegade, and outlaw, the sheriff should usually be attacking renegade (because if you leave renegade alone and they are strong, they will be incentivized to help outlaw weaken you). If the renegade and outlaw are weaker while sheriff is strong, it makes sense to kill off whichever one and simplify the game to a 1v1.

I can add few things also:
1.As outlaw good slots for KID and Slab (if sherif slot 1) 2,3,5,6 for suzy 2,6 becourse of better realization of abilities
2.Vulture Sam better pick for rene\vice and useless for outlaws, so usually if Sam at the table, its can be aditional info first round (for example sheriff agressive char (suzy with volk and low on def cards round 1 or KID with alot of bangs, with Sam at the table u can take a risk and kill someone next to u) or if Sam next to U (if u r sheriff), shoot another guy.
3. As sheriff we want to pick allways def chars

I'll rate it too.
1. Well, always favor the offensive character if you are a bandit. Jesse, Slab and Suzy are the top offensive chars. DO NOT choose Billy, as he is one of the weakest characters.
2. Strongly agree except for one detail. Sam is useful to a renegade and (to a lesser extent) sheriff, but not to a deputy. In normal (when the renegade knows his role) game in arena mode, the deputy dies after the outlaw, so as a deputy you will not realize the full potential of Sam.
3. Strongly agree.

This honestly should be pinned at the top of all bang games and related topics on this site. For some reason people think renegade means pretend vice. They completely dismantle the outlaws and then think they have a chance of winning going 2 vs 1 against the vice and sheriff (most of the time at full strength because of the renegades bad play).
The biggest problem with bang is that it is a team game (and a 3 way team game at that). You can play perfect but you are at the mercy of others. Poor renegade play determines far too many games on this site. Sometimes it is in my favor others it is not. Another issue are ****** who join the game from multiple accounts and rage quitters.

That can be a good sttrategy if you play it well. I've had the sheriff kill his own deputy, because he was convinced I was on his side (and then I won).

I wouldn’t attribute that to great renegade play. If the sheriff is killing his own deputy that means one of two things. Either the sheriff is incompetent or the vice is incompetent. A sheriff should never kill a questionable player.
I don’t play 6p. Maybe it is more effective there? But with odd player counts the cops have a clear advantage with sheriff getting more hp and going first. Then you have people playing renegade as vice which gives the cops more leverage. (I play 5p and am speaking from that experience).

From my experience (i played over 11yrs with over thousands hours of game play ngl), i agree with you. I played 5p, 6p, 8p when I’m the sheriff i only attack those attack me or the player who clearly is not a deputy.
