Contribution for new games

Post by Foxman »

Hello, this is my first post on the forum.

I was wondering if there was a way for me to help add new games to this website. I have an excellent grasp on certain games (rules, turns, etc.) and would love to help a game come to life on BGA.

I only have basic programming skills. So I don't know what language or how the developping is done on BGA but I'd be willing to help out.

I see that a lot of games are being added every week/month. So it would be fun to be part of that.

I also don't own any game rights and I'm not part of any boardgame company.

Thank you for pointing me in the right direction for this (if possible).

Hey,

You can join BGA Studio, which is a dev environment/tool/doc for developing new games.

Here is the link to the wiki page, which is a good entry point to get the main concepts, the basic tutorial, etc.

You can become a reviewer to test and approve alpha games (see Community menu).
If you really know well the rules of some games, you can also help the developpers sort the bug tickets (half of the times, it's a false report of a player not understanding some rule). Having a invested player flagging false report for us allow us to spend our time on development instead of checking replays, and it's really appreciated (but not rewarded, sorry :D ).

The reward is seeing games I know really well come to life on BGA!
Thanks for the tip I'll be checking that.
