End of Game triggered, two separate actions

End of game was triggered by me. They then took an Association action and a Cards action. How is that possible?

There is one map that allows an extra action for an association map cube (Determination ability).
Whatever it is, it doesn't seem to appear in the log.

It was association and then cards.

The cards didn't benefit them anyway.

We were playing on Map A, so I guess it is a beginner benefit. You are right it didn't help them but I would still like to understand it. Is it notated somewhere? I don't see it in the rule book, glossary, or on the Map board

They weren't playing map A.
