Are we supposed to lose ELO for winning?

I played team-based Dobble Connect games and both times my team won, I lost ELO points. It counted me and my team member's win as a tie. Is it supposed to be this way or is it a bug to be reported? I'm not familiar with other team-based games, so I'm not sure if it should work like that or not.
