Changed surface of Catan Board

Since a couple of days, my Catan Board changed, the boxes with the player infos are not longer on the side, but on top in huge size, so that I can either see the board or scroll up to see the players, points and how many cards they have. Its quite annoying and no fun to play anymore. I have no idea how to change it. I can´t remember having changed any settings. Does anybody know?? Thanks a lot.

That sounds to me very much as though you have inadvertently changed the zoom setting in your browser.

Thanks for the reply, i cannot find any zoom setting that affects this new surface. Its not in the browser, it must be sth in my personal account settings, I tried to access the catan without being logged in with my account on the same browser and there its still the old way. I am super grateful for any hint...thanks

On macs, it's usually cmd-plus and cmd-minus to change the browser's zoom, and cmd-zero to reset to original zoom level. Windows browsers probably have some similar convention but I don't remember what it is.

It's also possible that the resolution of your screen changed, so you might investigate your display configuration.

Laliesl, what browser are you using? And what operating system (Windows? Mac? Android? Ios?) This is probably relevant even though you are finding a difference in game layout when you aren't logged in.

Your solution may be something as simple as changing the size of your browser window. Try maximizing the window. Or even better, try activating BGA's "Fullscreen mode" by clicking on the icon that's a square with four arrows pointing outward from the corners (the icon next to the volume icon). (Hitting F11 might also activate fullscreen mode, and hitting escape will deactivate it.)

Another thing to check is, on the game page, click the "Options" tab (in the bottom half of the screen) and toggle the option for "Display game logs". But that probably won't help you.

If none of the above is any help, then as the other responders in this thread have suggested, you should use the zoom-out control of your browser. In Windows, ctrl-equals and ctrl-hyphen generally zoom in and out respectively. See for example this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XjegHyp--qY
