Since I've seen this confuse a few people, a trade "notification" is the same thing as a trade "alert", and what it actually refers to is when the game starts your timer running again and it's your turn, after you offer a trade. It would be nice to use a better term for this, but for now, the game calls these "alerts" or "notifications" so I'll call them that.
Currently, you can choose from two options for when you get "notified" after offering a trade:
1: As soon as one person responds. This is kind of sucky because often the first response is a rejection, and you don't want your timer running, you want to see if someone accepts or makes a counteroffer.
2: Wait for everyone to respond. This is the only practical option currently I think, but it can waste a lot of time if someone accepts your offer quickly and then it takes many hours for the others to respond.
My suggestion is that you should be "notified" as soon as anyone either accepts or makes a counteroffer, but not when someone rejects. And, you should have a "wait for other responses" button to stop your timer if you don't want to do the trade with that player who accepted or counteroffered.
If you agree this would be a simple, straightforward improvement to the current trade interface, please vote for https://boardgamearena.com/bug?id=97633
BTW, I do think the trade interface needs to be completely redesigned. But that would be more complicated to figure out how to do well. This improvement doesn't fix the interface, but it would save a lot of time in turn-based games in the meantime.
