rank system most be change!

Hey all,
This topic annoyed me for long time now.
in the current rank system player have multiple way to get higher/stay high with some method that not connected to game performance.
i have few example that i meet,

first one - player who clime fast as the seasons start and quite playing, acording to the current rank system its almost unpossible to climb high when playing lower player whice i agree, but not playing for a long time vs worthy opponent is not that fair.
suggestion - ARENA Point Ranking Decrease - like in many games players who not active at all in the top places will lose slowly points, its make them most play at least 1 game a while and give a fair chance to all player.

second thing - i notice players who block high/low player with red tumb, in this method you can avoid playing against lower player that can hurt your score badly or avoid playing against strong player that compete against you on the firsts place.
suggestion - Red Tumb Partly Disable In Arena - of course we not want people to play against toxic player and keep BGA fun and positive, There for i think that red tumb will effect only the chat *in ARENA MODE only*, this way people cant just hide "behind" red buttom.

I for one do agree with your points.

Players should have to play more frequently to maintain their positions both in Arena & Simple Mode.
3 Months Arena & 60 Days Simple Mode is way too long.

Red Thumbs in Arena should be disabled.
At present, it's not a fair competition.

That said, I don't think the first point has been handled as you think it would, and many people on that thread raise issues with the new feature of ELO decay (which actually isn't Arena rank decay, though Arena rank does regress at the start of each new season).

The red thumb issue has actually been changed to not apply in Arena as you both say, and again, many disagree with it, primarily because it prevents them from blocking people who will quit 90% into an hour-long game. Which really isn't fun for their opponents.

So much like most difficult problems, things aren't solved as simply as you suggest. Or indeed, as BGA has implemented.

Firstly thanks for the reference! Seems like they hit any of my points and im happy for that.

About the red thumb problem, to my opinion this why karma here for. It's handle exacly this situation and people who quit often cant join arena.

Happy to know that BGA doing so much and care about users feeling. Hope we all just had fun playing!

No, not at all. They didn't make any changes about Arena-ranking and that's what you seem to be caring about. Only the announced future use of red-thumbs might affect arena, but so far it's unknown what exactly is about to change about those.
