Does quarantine lab nullify existing tokens?

I have a venom token on my animals card on slot 1. Does it disappear If I play the sponsor quarantine lab or does it just work for the effects that are triggered after the card is played ?

It only prevents future effects from affecting you.

If you were vaccinated after already being sick, it's too late to prevent the illness.
