I have seen a few posts here about alternate rules - curious what people do in person to mix things up?
- Do you play "friendly"? What rules do you play by for this? (First player to get 3, only rob those with 3+, etc?)
- Someone suggested in another thread having VPs for "most robbed". Sounds interesting, might give it a try
- What other alternate rules d you play by, or think might make it interesting>
My alternates:
When I play with my kids, we sometimes do the following:
- No Robbers and 7's are wild. Roll a 7 and everyone gets one resources. We still play you can move the robber and we play with knights, but when you move the robber you can not "steal" from anyone, but you can still block them. Sometimes we play that you can't block. We play different variations of this
- Sometimes we play friendly. When we do, it is usually no blocking/robbing anyone with 2 points, and you can't buy a DEV card unless everyone has 3. (otherwise when sitting at 2, you an just stockpile knights - potentially.
- Gold - Sometimes we take the gold from the expansion and after everyone has chosen their spots we Roll a dice, and whatever that number is we replace it with Gold on the board (so essentially an "any resource": space.
So what do you change to mix it up?
