Website doesn't inform me when a game started if I'm using a different program

Sometimes when I want to start an arena game, it takes a very long time to find a match. When this happens, I usually do something else like play another computer game on my laptop/surf other websites in the browser. Occasionally, I'll get very absorbed into that other activity and forgot to check if I found a match, and returned only to find out that people kicked me out of the game because I have not been responding. This has happened a few times already. Does anyone know if there is an extension that will inform me a match has been found no matter what program I happen to be using at the moment and/or a setting I could toggle in my browser to do that?
