I dont know if the card works as intended.

I breed pigs and cows, but can only keep one of the new born, the other still gets breeded but I have to discard it. The card says, "each time you get 2 new animals, you can pay 1 food to plow 1 field". I assumed I breed 2 animals, trigger the effect and plow, regardless if I end up keeping the animals or not.

I don't think this is a bug. You need to have space for the newborns if you are to "get" two new animals.
