Tapestry: marriage of state too strong?

Post by edavid »

Should this card be removed from the deck? It looks to me like the strongest, and by far, of all tapestry cards specially late in the game when it's not really possible to change stategy and stop advancing on one particular track

You can already opt to play without Marriage of State (and Renaissance). When selecting to play a game or making a table, you can change those options. It's definitely very strong. The game is unbalanced in general, but it's still fun to play so I mostly just try to shrug the unfairness off. Technically you can make the card completely useless to your opponent, but it requires more that he fails at playing it than you succeed at countering it.
