Does anyone know the specific criteria that are used for adding arena leagues? The FAQ says:
“It depends on the popularity of the game: the most popular a game is, the more leagues there are (and the most difficult it is to reach the top).”
Hand Foot had the Diamond league added for this season. Here are the stats comparing Challengers to Arena - Challengers has more players and more games played, so it is "more popular", yet has four leagues compared to the six for Hand and Foot. I do see that in Hand and Foot, last season 45% of players reached elite. I am guessing that's why Diamond was added. Can anyone confirm?
Challengers:
3210 players
897 Elite (28%)
27,026 games played
Season 17: bronze, gold, silver, elite
Hand and Foot:
487 players
222 Elite players (45%)
10,399 games played
Season 17: bronze, silver, gold, platinum, diamond, elite
