Mute Feature for Chat

Please let me know if this belongs in another forum-it is ultimately a BGA feature and not one tied specifically to Spades.

Can we get a mute button for chat? I know it's been mentioned before, but it would be lovely to be able to mute someone instead of having to red thumb them. This is the only game on BGA where I've hesitated to red thumb people I never want to play with again because of relatively small player pool.

The mute button function should also be anonymous. I don't need to know if I've been muted nor does anyone else need to know that I've muted them.

It would be a nice feature although it would be nice if you had the option of choosing whether to do it anonymously or announcing it. I have seen people repeatedly ignore people's request to stop offering advice and criticism and being openly muted might be a wake up call. Personally at a certain point I would prefer to red-thumb as you often see accounts that seem to deliberately self-sabotage and what appears to be multiple accounts. At the end of the day there is a lot of chance in Spades and even arena games should be fun first.
