BGA Connection problem

Post by Ducphows »

About 2 weeks ago until now, the "Play now" page is so lag to me, while other pages like News or Games seems to work just fine. It took so many times to load, I even F5 a tons of times before it can actually show.
Does anyone encounter the same problem as me and my friends? Any solution, guys?

Yes. Have you recently cleared your browser cache? I'm not saying that will fix it. It actually causes it. After I did it (to troubleshoot an issue on another site), I noticed most of the thumbnail images for the games were gone. It's not surprising that they were cached, and I'd just cleared the cache. The problem was reloading them was taking so long that I got connection errors (the "lost connection to the BGA server" message). The entire browser window would freeze, not just the BGA tab. I had to use Task Manager to kill the browser window.. I could still start games from the individual game page, but when I returned to Play Now.....same thing.

The only fix was to let it sit and repopulate the images and leave it for as long as it took (about 5 minutes). There's still the question of why loading about 100 tiny images should take so long with a 100 mbps connection, so maybe there's still a bigger issue.
