"Thinking time"

In Memoir 44, if someone accepts a game after another person inmates it, the clock should start for that person immediately. I tried to spawn a fresh game and waited for a someone to accept. They did, and they had the first turn. It took them almost 8 hours to make their first move, but they were not penalized any time. I went to bed, and my time was ticking away and when I woke up, I had already been charged/penalized 8 hours!

What table? Have you checked the replay log to see if that's really what happened?
If you still think there is a problem, it should probably be reported in the bug tracker or Memoir 44 subforum instead of the Suggestions subforum which is for discussing sitewide suggestions.

Does this game have playing hours set? No one's time runs outside of playing hours.
