Amber Win when he die i dont understand .

I play amber and my opponent plays crumbleclad. He attacks me with 8 and my HP drops to -2... my power responds and my opponent drops to 0 HP. We both die. Why does Amber win? https://boardgamearena.com/table?table=522148767
