Is there a way to filter tables based on the level of other players?
I'm pretty inexperienced on BGA and currently I don't have a high ranking in any of the games that I like to play. When I create a table and set up a filter so that my opponents would be close to my own level, but I'd really like an option to do the same with other tables too.
Reasoning:
Often the tables of popular games fill up really fast and if there are multiple players you're likely to miss your chance if you check the other player's profiles individually. This may lead to joining a table where other players are of significantly higher or lower ELO. In the lobby this leaves two suboptimal options: either play a game that could be frustrating to many or all participants, or cancel, leaving the other players to an annoying situation. It's not so bad with more casual games, but with longer or more complex ones, say Terraforming Mars, this is not great.
Obviously I'm not suggesting blocking anyone or anything that affects other players' freedom to choose but having a "fits your preferences" -kind of filter that you can set up, similarly to other game specific preferences.
Another option that could be easier to implement for games/tables with more than one opponent would be to show this information already in the table listing. Like a summary: "So far this table is joined by players with ELO / level of X, Y and Y". Or something to that effect. Kind of a matchmaking thing, if you will.
EDIT (I just thought of this): It could also help if there was an option to filter the level of player creating the table - one could hope, then, that maybe they have such filter set up themselves.
** note: I apologise if this is a double posting but I didn't find it on the forum after submitting.
